Harrow School Trip to Ecuador
July - August 2004
We hiked up many mid high mountains and climbed up to the summit of Cotopaxi with many students from this School. Ed Chad was the international Trip Leader and Chris Mann and Joe were the school teachers joining the trip. Our main goal concerning the society and environment of Ecuador was to build a community house in El Quinual, a small village with a bit over 100 people, in the Chimborazo province. It is near the Train Station Urbina, in the high land between Ambato and Riobamba . We worked really hard for four days and left the building 70% ready. The next trip following us finished it together with the local people.
