Heinrich Schliemann Gymnasium - Berlin

June - July / 2009

The main goal of this trip was achieved, since we had 6 great days of hard work in Chugchilan, a remote community in the western Ecuadorian Andes , at 3.200 meters of altitude. We had several things to do like: putting up the school’s fence in 2 of 3 flanks, so the children won’t fall down to the abyss; establishing the new school’s playground by flattening  the floor, and digging holes for every game; painting the lines for the volleyball, basketball and football multi-court, including it’s goal gates and basketball baske;, and finally, giving the school’s library a touch of color and knowledge on the walls. Every group member was very skilled for every activity, and extremely compromised with their own work, so we had lots of fun and left something for the school that will last a long time.
