Queen Mary Collete Trip to Ecuador
July - August 2006
Besides doing mountain climbing, including summiting Cotopaxi , we worked in El Chaupi, a small village located in the border line between the Pichincha and Cotopaxiprovinces, where we renovated a public park by painting its outer walls, and moving out trash, sand, and contstruction materials. Besides working here, we drove up tu Urbina at Chimborazo province, and planted trees near the surroundings of a water source of the Chimborazo 's Volcano high land (Paramo), to protect it from the sun rays, and to help it catch water from the allways-humid environment of this region.
